We're going to go out on a limb here, but on the off chance that you haven't noticed, gas prices haven't exactly been decreasing these past few years. It's a bummer alright, but it's just another reason why we here at Lithia Kia of Anchorage are so fond of the fuel-efficient new and used cars at our dealership. And as for our favorite automaker, well they just keep on working towards the future.

Even if you're not all that familiar with our lineup here in Anchorage, AK, chances are you've done a double-take at some point when driving by a 2013 Kia Soul. Oh yes, it's certainly one of the more attention-grabbing beauties on our lot, and with a 1.6-liter I-4 engine that gets up to 30 mpg on the highway, there's no shortage of things to adore about it. And while we were already chomping at the bit for the 2014 Kia Soul to turn up on our lot, we're pretty darn jazzed for the arrival its electric counterpart.

That's right, folks, the brass at our favorite automaker has recently confirmed that the 2014 Kia Soul Electric will be launching sometime before July. It will be the first globally-marketed EV from Kia, will house a fully-electric powertrain and deliver a top speed of 140 km/h. Not only that, but word has it that it will be able to drive up to 200 km on a full charge. Not too shabby if you ask us.

Unfortunately, we're still waiting on official pricing figures and a specific release date, but until then, feel free to whet your appetite with a test drive in one of our fabulous 2013 Kia Soul models. Trust us, there's a lot to be excited about.
