When the Kia Cadenza arrived in the United States three years ago, drivers from all over the country flocked to get a sampling of this Korean-slice of luxury. Accessibly priced and elegantly styled, it has plenty of fans. Now, Kia is raising the bar again with the next generation sedan, which debuted at the New York Auto Show this month.
Visually, the new sedan builds on the lavish visual statement made by its predecessor, and it shows. Like the recently-redesigned Optima, the 2017 Cadenza is more of an evolution than revolution, but with enough new visual goodies to really make the heart race. Foremost is the front end, where Kia has employed a concave grille and some snazzy Z-shaped LED daytime running lights. Thanks to a lighter body, we expect the car to be quite a bit more fun to drive (and efficient) as well.
