Book a hotel at the halfway point of the drive today so that you are not getting tired in the middle of the night looking for a place to pull over. Knowing there is a break coming up at the halfway point will help keep you alert. Pack an emergency box that contains tools, duct tape, flashlights, water, jumper cables, first-aid kit, snacks, and some blankets. Don't assume that the spare tire in the trunk is in working condition, give it a look and check that the jack and tire iron are also in the trunk.
Come to Lithia Kia of Anchorage and let the team service your vehicle before you leave for the trip.
